David D’Arcangelo is a public policy leader, disability advocate, communications professional, entrepreneur and public speaker. His career spans elected office, state and federal public service, business, higher education and nonprofit leadership.
Legally blind since early childhood, David brings lived experience to his work while maintaining a broader focus on leadership, public policy, strategic communications and access to opportunity.
A career built across sectors
David has worked inside government, led public agencies, built businesses and advised organizations through complex challenges. That range shapes how he understands the way policy is made, communicated and carried into action.
Public leadership and disability policy
David’s public service includes a presidential appointment to the National Council on Disability, leadership of the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind and the Massachusetts Office on Disability, and three terms as a city councilor at large.
His work has spanned disability employment, accessibility, vocational rehabilitation, transportation, technology and independent living.
